Patrick is Chairman of erivatives.com, publishers of cutting edge free global online magazines (appliederivatives.com and erivativesreview.com) devoted to tradable markets with 35000 readers in 130 countries. He has published several books, including "Capital Market Revolution" (FT Prentice Hall 1999) and "The New Capital Market Revolution" (Texere 2003) on the topic of change in financial markets driven by deregulation and technological innovation. Formerly a broker and analyst, Patrick is a partner in a proprietary trading operation and consults to leading financial institutions worldwide. A passionate innovator, he has been heavily involved in the development and promotion of new products including single stock futures, and exchange sports trading. His latest venture the world's first Essential Oils Exchange (http://www.eoex.net) has recently launched. Patrick is a regular guest on CNBC Europe Squawkbox and a media commentator in leading financial journals and digital media. He is a director of the Swiss Futures & Options Exchange (SFOA). He lives in Monaco, although is more often to be found in airport lounges. He
maintains he has various interests and hopes to see his rally car again in the
not too distant future.

Charlie Sidey was born in Farnborough Kent England, May 1959 and was educated in Blackheath, London and Salamanca in Spain. Employed originally as a settlements clerk at Richardson Greenshields of Canada he moved on to futures broking after a thorough grounding in settlements procedures of all financial and commodity instruments in the early eighties. Charlie moved to Tullett and Tokyo Futures at the time of the crash in 1987 and was there until June 1995, building a broking team which had amongst its clientele some major currency trading funds including a selection of funds which he nurtured from inception to be successful, attracting large institutional investment. He also handled large institutions and high net worth individuals. In June 1995 he joined CAGF (later re-named Bank Austria Creditanstalt Futures) as it was founded, as broking manager heading a team of office brokers, while retaining his diversified client portfolio. In March 1999, Bank Austria ceased their futures operation and Charlie decided to try life the other side of the fence actively trading futures, options and equities in order to build a track record. Charlie is co-author of "Single Stock Futures - A Traders Guide and also acts as a consultant, drawing on his twenty years of experience in the industry. Charlie is bi-lingual in Spanish and English and fluent in French. |
